Wow...

I had no idea what the cellular industry was all about, but man, I'm sure familiar with it now!

Week one of "real" work (well, first 4 days, I work tomorrow) have been pretty good, for the most part. I like my other co-worker that I finally got to meet on Monday, we get along pretty well, and he definitely knows his stuff. The store managers are pretty cool, and very patient with Laura and I, which is very helpful. We are starting to get it down though, I even opened on my own this morning! My only real complaint is that my feet hurt like crazy when I get off work. I'm not used to standing on them for 8+ hours per day, and on top of that, I've clocked 4 hours of overtime so far for the next check, not counting if I get any overtime tomorrow.

Anyhow, I know it's a short update, but I have stuff I gotta get done before I go to bed. Don't forget to do *228 option 2 on your phones, people! Especially Verizon customers!

So what does *228 do to a cell phone. Verizon only thing?

It's not just verizon, but I'm not sure what the options are to do a PRL upgrade on other carriers' phones. What it does is re-acquaint your phone to the towers in the area, which can help with battery life and call quality.

so how do I get free navigator. My contract is due to be renewed and I would love to have this feature, but don't want to increase my cost. I'm a long time Verizon customer.

VzNavigator isn't a free service, it's 2.99 for 24 hour access, or 9.99 per month, and that includes any/all directory assistance (411) calls.

*228 is only for VZW. Sprint's network doesn't use it -- they can't seem to get over-the-air activation working to save their lives; and AT&T and TMO use GSM. :)

Well, I know that Alltel uses it too, maybe the other carriers will get their act together, LOL.

I don't have a single clue why I am awake at 4:15 in the morning either, back to bed for me!!!
