Major changes...

I know, I know, I know, need to update more often, haha!

So, I'm not moving to Houston. I broke things off with my boyfriend last week, because I determined that I need to work on myself for a while. Going to Denver (and subsequently Boise) changed my perspective on a lot of things, and I realized that for the first time in my entire life, I am COMPLETELY independent, financially and otherwise. And I love it, absolutely LOVE IT! It is kinda nice to know that I only have to account for myself and my cat, and I'm back to enjoying life again, which is more than what I could say for myself 8 months ago. We are still going to remain friends, as we were friends first, and foremost.

Still loving the job, and I find myself learning more and more every day. Been at it for over a month now, and every day I get off work happy. Absolutely adore my co-workers, I work with a fantastic group of people. Over the last few weeks we had a big barbeque, and a float trip on the river, both of which I attended and enjoyed thoroughly. The float trip was my first one ever, and I truly had a blast (and got a bit sunburnt as well, unfortunately). We might be doing a Labor Day barbeque, but I haven't heard anything set in stone yet. I've been averaging 8 hours or more of overtime each pay period, which as you can imagine, doesn't leave me with much time to do much outside of work. I'm not complaining though, the extra cash is nice, and if I can get 4 hours per pay period, I basically don't have to pay for my insurance coverage, as the overtime makes up for the premium that is taken out of my check. According to what I've heard through the grapevine, the management and the rest of the staff are pleased with how well I am picking things up and how well I am doing.

Other than that, not much going on in my neck of the woods. I am planning on having a friend come see me probably sometime this month, and I am going to Fort Collins, Colorado in October to hang out with two friends of mine from training. Also looking at planning a trip to Jackson, Mississippi to visit another friend of mine, however I am not sure when exactly that will be happening. I know, a month ago I was saying I didn't want to see the inside of a plane or an airport for a while, and here I am planning more trips, LOL!

Anyhow, gotta get my lunch made for tomorrow (bagel with turkey and spinach, watermelon, some crackers, and a frozen bottle of water), and get to bed. Tomorrow is (at the least) double time, if not double time and a half! You're not gonna hear me griping about THAT on the paycheck!
